Im looking to sell my A5 that only has a box or two of shells through it. My father purchased it for me years ago and at the time it was unfired and all packed in grease. I am torn on what to ask for it since there are so many different variations, and the blue book also isnt very easy to decipher, so Im hopeful the community can point me in the right direction. Im not completely sold on the idea of letting it go, but would for sure like to know exactly what I have. I appreciate the help.

the serial reads

6M
648xx

barrel reads on left side:
browning arms company ST Louis Mo. &montreal P.Q.
made in belgium

on right side:
**special steel-12 gauge-shells 2 3/4

That has some nice wood on it - you might want to think about selling it for a bit - even take it shooting a few times "just because". Proofhouse.com will also have the dates for the gun.

Gunbroker might have some CLOSED auctions on your version to give you some ballpark idea of an asking price

the 6M indicated...

made in 1966, M is the standard 12ga.

Price depends on local area desires, not a given for across the states.

Check gunbroker for price range.

Best I can do or take to local trap / skeet club and talk to people. there.
