I was given a .410 shot gun the gun seems to be old. The name on it says
Bay state and thats it. it was manufactured in Worchester Ma. Just wondering who made it? and when? thanks

The list in the back of the '99 Standard Catalog of Firearms says:

"Bay State: Trade name used by the Harrington & Richardson Arms Company on both inexpensive pocket revolvers and shotguns."

As to when, probably sometime between 1908 and 1942 according to the H&R section of the book. That's when they made a variety of H&R single-barrel shotguns in various gauges and barrel lengths and chokes. H&R was founded in 1877.

Hope this helps.

John
