I have a Remington 700 vtr in 223 and was thinking of getting a aftermarket stock or chassis for. i would really love the mdt lss chassis but i cant afford to buy another one im looking for a cheaper stock or chassis that will bed the action and free float the barrel. Does anyone have any suggestions im looking at not spending over 200 and it can be plastic or wood. The reason is i found bedding and free floating my 308 increased accuracy pretty good and figured id try it on the 223. Id like to start reloading for the 223 but i wont until i get a permanent fixture on it. Depending on ammo i shoot im grouping over an inch at 100 but i never did shoot match ammo. Im kinda new to the bedding and free floating arena for rifles and dont know of to many affordable brands out there. Any help would be appreciated.
