Looking For A Website......

While doing some AR searching last week I ran across a website that I stumble on a couple years ago, and failed to bookmark it either time. I'll try to describe the site & maybe it will jog somebodies memory.

It doesn't look like ordinary sites when you reach it. This old white bearded fellow has a lot of pics there, gun reviews, etc. Seems like he was sitting on his porch, dressed in black, with black hat, white hair to compliment the beard. That's about the best I can do.

Does any of that ring a bell with anyone? I plan to bookmark it when I locate it again.

I am 44. To me, Jeff isn't that old, but he does have white hair and beard, wear black, and have pics of himself by a house on his site.

Not sure of the OP's age, but am guessing 20s, so to him Jeff might be old. For that matter, to him, I might be old.

It was late last night, I was tired and evidently my attempt at humor failed. I will say that I believe even Jeff Quinn would find me old. Sure wish I could get my old, hoary beard long enough to braid like his. Not enough guns to play with and test, I guess.

If so, the gentleman you're referring to is Jeff Quinn. I don't know how old Mr. Quinn is, but I suspect that his beard might make him look older than he really is (it's always been difficult for me to judge the age of people with large beards).

The other prominent gunwriter that fits the description you posted is John Taffin, but his website doesn't have many pictures of Mr. Taffin himself. Also, Taffin doesn't do all that many reviews of 'tactical' guns like AR's as his interests are more in guns like revolvers and lever-action rifles. Here is John Taffin's website:

Hey, ya'll are great. Yeah, gunblast is the one. I guess I thought I could remember the site, musta been dreaming, since I can't remember what I was doing 20 minutes ago!:D I just saw Mr. Quinn's pic on his site without hat, & I see his hair is not that white, maybe gray shoulda been more like it. And, I thought his beard was snow white, I didn't do too well on that one either. I was just hoping that maybe my description would jog somebody. I'll save it this time. I wanted to check the site out a little more closely, since I didn't have time before.

Once again, I appreciate it!
 
Hey, I just looked at a closer pic of JQ, and he looks like a whippersnapper. He's only a young 53, born in 1959, & lives in Tn. next to national wildlife refuge. How about that! Those whiskers do make you look older sometimes!
 
I plan to look at the site more closely as soon as I can. But, dang, 24 hours just ain't as long as it used to be when I was a whippersnapper!

In the meantime, how would ya'll rate the gunblast site, say on a scale of 1-10? From a glance it seems to be a very interesting, & I'm guessing a very informative site.? What do ya'll say? Thanks
