1851 Navy in .38 Special, octagonal barrel.

Cimarron Arms is the only company I know of that produces such an animal. Anybody else? How is Cimarron quality, anyway? I'm not planning on using this gun in competition, just general plinking. This is IMHO one of the best looking revolvers ever, right alongside an 1860 Army (also on my shopping list, as plain blackpowder revolver).

I was looking at one of these not long ago. Fit and finish looked good. A friend has one of their Colt SAA clones and is very happy with it. I shoot 1860 Armies by Navy Arms and like them a lot. I would recommend only shooting very mild loads in an 1851 Conversion.
