Hey Florida man, I don't think they make 44mag in 2" barrel, many in 44spl 2", but I haven't seen 44 mag in 2". If some one knows of one, then enlite us.

Lew Horton sold 629's in 3 inch barrels back in the 1980's.
I think they were on a "K" frame...My openion.

Shooting a 2" would be a waste of good 44mag ammo.

look for an old Astra Terminator. Haven't seen one in years but it was like a 2" or 2 1/2" .44 Mag.

Taurus' Model 444 Ultra lite is a 2.25 inch barrell. I personally would not wat to shoot it except in self defense. and have absolutely no idea how you would train with it

According to the Taurus website...the Ultralite has a 4" barrel...still too short and too light for me...at least with full power loads.

your best bet is with a 3" from smith and wesson. Or you can balls it out and get the ruger alaskan redhawk 2.5 inch .454 casuall/45 long colt.

The M444 on the web site is a 4 inch barrel. But look at the new Taurus 2005 catalog and the 2 1/4 inch barrel is listed
