Get with a 'smith and build one Clinth. You get what you really want and not someone elses idea of what they want to sell you. It's your money.
 
FWIW, Chandler makes a darn good rifle. I have seen them in action, pricey that they are, it is that way for a reason. They are tough, designed to take a ding or two. And accurate. A 20" gun he built kept MOA at 1000, another I witnessed kept a minute after it had been out of the stock the night before, with no scope fiddling, at 400 yards. His operation takes time in building, yes, but they operate on the premis of doing it right the first time.
 
Sako TRG 22!!!

If you ever take a look at one of these pieces of precision engineering, you will fall in love with them as I did.

Take a look at these rifles on the Sako site (www.sako.fi) and see for yourself. I have been around rifles a lot, and I can safely say that I have never run across a piece of work like the TRG.

To me, the problem associated with having one custom made is that, to some extent, you never know what you get, unless you really pay top dollar for it. Instead, a company like Sako, whose main know-how for about 100 years has been building rifles, can save you some bucks through their economies of scale and can (and will) deliver you a product that would match (and beat) any custom-made precision rifle.

Several snipers teams in Europe and around the world use the TRG 22. Rumor has it that the Russian Highpower team, upon realizing that they had "lost" their own rifles during shipment on the way to a turnament in Finland, asked Sako to loan them some TRGs. Well, they ended up getting the gold.
 
If price is not an object you may want to look at Accuracy International and their line.

I've got one of the first 100 AWP that were imported and it has been a love/hate relationship ever since.

Love it when I do my part and make teenie tiny groups.

Hate it when I don't do my part and the AWP shows me by not keeping tight groups.

Best group shot so far was .18 MOA. Consistantly average > .5 MOA... anything bigger is because of me.
