Looking for a installation and manual for setting the chokes.

Ha! I just got an Ithaca Model 37 with a Polychoke a month or so ago!

I wanted something I could use up north a few hours drive for grouse and near home for a backup pheasant shotgun. So... open choke and maybe Mod or IM was all the refinement I need.

Pattern testing showed that the "full" choke of the polychoke was 92% inside the circle.. which is like "full full turkey choke!" and the "mod" setting was like IM and IC was pretty good!

The darned things work. I don't like that it adds weight out on the end of the barrel but the trick is to not get the long constriction collar with the porting.. get the shorty, it weighs half of the other.

Also, be aware that Polychoke saw my problem... that is, a little twist was giving too much compression to the adjusting choke fingers...

So they changed over to a finer pitch threading. Polychokes might have 2 pitches to the barrel of the choke... that means for every turn the new ones give less constriction which means a little finer control of the choke.

Anyways, my next project is to reblue the barrel!
