I carry a Ruger Securty Six 2 3/4" when I'm hunting. It's my protection against "Mr. No Shoulders". I currently use an Uncle Mikes sidekick holster. I've had great success using that style of holster with my other revolvers but the Security Six presents a unique problem. Like many holsters, the belt attachment point falls right across the cylinder. Ordinarily that wouldn't be a problem. However, the snub-nosed barrel is over-weighted by the heavy grips. That makes the gun want to twist. Of course it can't because of the belt but it still wants to.
What I need is a holster where the belt attachment point sits higher on the holster so that the weight sits lower. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
