Specifically, I am looking for a gunsmith that can thread a .22 handgun I have. I would also like to have the front sight moved. I live in Columbus. Any leads on a gunsmith would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Id go with Vance's myself.
Im told by my cousin who knows guns well that the smith at Gander Mtn in Hilliard is good also.

I saw this on Armslist.com the other day. I have no idea if he can help you and I have no personal experience with him or his work, I'm just passing on some info.....

"I am currently gunsmithing and building 1911's and AR15's. Central Ohio area only. You must have your own frame (1911) or receiver (AR15). If you do not, then I know 2 FFL that you can order your frame/receivers from. Most 1911's that I have built have been on STI, Wilson or Essex frames. I also have been producing fixed blades........"

And he's in our area so it might be worth checking out. Link....

gunsmith at gandermountain at 256, when you have it done at a shop as such with a big name you know theyll stand behind there work. For fear of the BBB. Gunsmith at gander on 256 in reynoldsburg is good i personally know cause of him working on 3 revolvers of mine. The guy on armslist is also on gun listing i contacted him about if he could work a frame to bobtail configuration. He has no machinery to do gunsmithing with. He just assembles.

If none of that works for you, . . . Norton Gun Shop, . . . 740-726-2616.

If they don't have the connection in house, . . . they will have in their list of contacts. Good folks to do business with.

They are 25 miles due north of I-270 just off of US 23 at OH 229. Turn left.

May God bless,
Dwight
