Jonathon - yes, but they have a 15" barrel - so more like a rifle with a pistol grip

A friend of mine is selling his TC.. I believe it has a .357 barrel and a .223 barrel...

It's a 4&1/2 pound pistol with a 15inch barrel, chambered in full size rifle cartridges like the 30-06 and 45-70... Doesn't seem all that pistol-like. If they made a 12lb pistol with a 20" barrel chambered in .458Win somebody would probably buy that too, though.

For the most owerful handgun and cartridge that was always a hand gun, The .500 is the only choice.

Check out the brand new S & W 460 - shoots a 200 grain bullet at 2300 ft/s. You can use lighter loads in it as well like the .45 colt or .454 casull.

There's the BFR, a massive revolver offered by Magnum Research. It is listed in several calibers: .30-30 Win., .450 Marlin, .45-70 Govt., .500 S&W, .460 S&W, etc.

why do you need bigger than fiddy? if you really want to shoot trees down a s&w 500 will probably do it with enough shots or maybe a chain-saw?

Federal law restricts all guns to be sold to the general public to less than 50 cal. anything larger, unless an antique, is considered to be a destructive device which requires tranfer taxes etc.

The whole point is that I want a "destructive device" I just thought it would be neat to shoot down a tree rather than cut it down. I've got a bet running with a buddy of mine who sais it can't be done.
