I've been looking around for a .22 lr revolver. Which of these do you recommend? Obviously, the Colt is the cheapest. Is that a good deal?

Nice picture...AND a nice gun!!! Judging by the hammer configuration, I'd guess that your K-22 might be a four- or five-screw gun...maybe even pre-Model-number...hhmmm...?....mikey357

The K 22.

No wait, make that the 34. $375.00 is a little steep, but those aren't that common in that kind of shape. Original box, tools still in the wrapper AND the brown paper the gun came in! Only thing missing appears to be the original bill of sale. That little J frame kit gun has been cared for well.

Then again, Like Mikey says,,,,Nice gun (that K22). If these are from the same seller, I think I'd make a package offer for both the K22 AND the 34.

I'm biased against the new Smith 617's. I had one that was a real POS. I traded it and never looked back.

Colt's a crap shoot. Could be the world's most accurate .22 or it could be a paper weight.

$425.00 for the Ruger sounds high that plus fixed sights on a .22 revolver, or a semi auto for that matter, aren't a good thing out past handshaking range. The POI moves around too much depending on conditions and ammo.

My choices would be from this list:

4" barrel Smith & Wesson model 18 "Combat Masterpiece".

6" barrel Smith & Wesson K-22 model 17.

4" or 6" barrel Colt Diamondback.
