Went to the local gun store last friday (trail boss outfitters in SV) to pick up some more 45acp self defense rounds and on my way out I saw that they had a couple 20ga Mossberg silver reserves sitting on the rack along with another O/U that from a distance didn't pique my interest. after walking over to the 3 O/U 's I quickly realized that the one O/U sitting on the bottom rack was not some Stoeger or C/Z turkish made gun.... It was a Browning Citori Trap model.... The gun was on consignment... Guy behind the counter said it had been there a couple months... I said lets call up the owner and see if he would do less than the sticker price... sure enough, the owner reluctantly said yes...
This gun is a 1978 trap model with 32 inch barrels and choked at F/IM ... other than a few tiny dings from sitting in a safe full of guns this thing is in perfect shape. Judging by the wear (or rather lack there of) on the contact points on the gun and also the very minimal markings on the face of the receiver I would say this gun has not seen even a case of shells in the 33 years it has been around.
So, there goes my M1A money and I now own another Citori (other one is a grade IV in 28ga)
