Gun related. Honest.
The use of a pistol, blanks and a seemingly endless series of tunnels in Scotland have helped create the world's longest echo at 72 seconds, blitzing the previous 15 second Guiness world record. No idea what gun it was though.
Here is a link to a recording of the shot. It gets so faint I can't hear it on my computer after about 25 seconds but nonetheless.....
They would presumably want the loudest cartridge available or the one with the widest acoustic range. Perhaps some techie types can clarify. Tokarev? .44 Mag? .357Mag? Judging by the sound I'd guess .357...
