Hello all, I have been hanging out here for a while, thought I would join in. I just started shooting again, mostly with my GP. Any reccomendations on adapting the front site for better visibility?

I have done some poking online, but am curious as to what real people have to say about there real experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Forums! :)

It's impossible to say what front sight is more visible, I think... so much depends on YOUR eyes. I guess this isn't much of an answer, but you could try painting the front sight different colors and trying each color under different conditions... basically just see what works for you. For me it seems most any color is ok, as long as it doesn't glare (like stainless can sometimes do) and as long as the front and rear are largish and square.

Ditto the paint - you can always remove it if you don't like it and if you do - get a smith to replace it with a similarlly colored insert.

But night sights are what you should look into - a CCW, if pressed into use, is very likely to do so in the darkness.
