long range shooting with ruger scout

I just put an paltry 4x16 tactical scope on my scout. Not really the mission specific for this rifle. But the only 308 I have right now. Can't wait to get to the range and see how far I can hit with it.
 
I've got a 6X fixed on my hunting rifle and I'm good out to 300 yards or so. Our range has 12X12 steel targets at 100, 200, 300 yards and every scope I have is capable of putting copper on steel at will.
