Long Distance .308

I recently purchased a Savage 12BVSS chambered in .308. I was planning on topping it with the Tasco Target Scope. I was wondering if someone could give me some input on the scope and the gun. And maybe what the best ammo would be. Thanks a bunch!
 
Take a look at the Tasco Super Sniper before buying the target...JMHO.

Almost forgot! Get in touch with Sharp Shooter's Supply (listed in Shotgun News and the Gun List) for a much better trigger for that Savage. You will be very pleased.
 
That is A very good rifle..I can't comment on the
Scope..I have a Savage Model 10fp with a Springfield
Armory Scope on it and It is a real nice shooter.
you can go to http://www.sinclairintl.com they have Timney triggers
for the rifle there as well as a lot of other goodies
we guys just gotta have
