TSRA Members:
Your support is requested for the TSRA sponsored Lone Star Friends of NRA Dinner
in Dallas, Thursday April 6, 2000 to benefit the TSRA George Tubb Memorial
Scholarship at Texas A&M University.
Please consider support in any or all of the following ways!
1. Attend the Lone Star FONRA dinner at the South Fork Ranch on April 6. Call

Susan Howard is the hostess. TSRA President Ralph Talbot and several directors
will attend, as will Mrs. George Tubb.
2. Underwrite one of the several NRA merchandise items that will be given away
in raffles, silent bid, drawings, and auctions at the Dinner. If the items are

not underwritten and their cost is shown at the end of this message. Please
consider underwriting one or more of the items. Alternatively, if you have
items to donate to the FONRA dinner, call the TSRA office before Wednesday.
Make checks payable to "Lone Star FONRA" and send them to TSRA, 1131 Rockingham
Lane, #101, Richardson, TX 75080-4326. They can take credit cards over the
phone also.
3. Make a direct donation to the A&M Scholarship by sending a check to the TSRA
office made payable to the "Texas A&M Foundation" and note that it is for
"George E. Tubb '45 Endowed Scholarship".
Contributions and support for the FONRA dinner and for the Scholarship are tax
deductible. Ask the TSRA office to send you a deductible receipt.
Mr. George E. Tubb was dedicated to the promotion of the shooting sports. This
Canadian, TX, rancher was the Texas "Ambassador to the Shooting World". This
native Texan and war hero served his nation and the people of Texas with
Distinction. He was President of the Texas State Rifle Association, a Director
of the National Rifle Association, a Distinguished Rifleman, A high Master in
Highpower Rifle, and a member of eight U.S. Palma teams that competed
internationally. In addition, he was a highly decorated World War II veteran. He
went into the Army from the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and was a battle-tested
Infantry Company Commander at the age of 20. He loved his family, God, ranching,
his country, and the shooting sports. George was a true American Patriot. This
scholarship was established at the main Campus of Texas A&M University to
memorialize George Tubb’s contributions to the Texas State Rifle Association,
the National Rifle Association, and Shooting Sports worldwide. I hope you can
see your way clear to support the Lone Star FONRA and the George Tubb
Scholarship. This is positive support for the firearms community - and it helps
a Junior shooter get an education.
Thanks in advance for your support!
