:D And I KNOW, you guys knew about them, way to pass on the info guys!! LOL They had about 1000 of them and they sold in 2 DAYS . Well I didn't buy one, just wasn't enough info about them posted by classic. So, if any of you did, I hope you get a nice rifle, from the crap shoot at Classic. As much as I want an M38 I had to pass. They could have took a little time on the description of them, and when I called, the lady didn't have time to answer any questions as to the condition the rifles were in. Refinished by MOLOT doesn't make a hill of beans to me.

Well, I got notified by email from Classic about them since I got on their mailing list. There are a couple of other Mosin Nagant sites I check on regularly and there was a lot of talk about the M38's on the first day they were available. Most of the talk has boiled down to discussions about Molot, some of it pro and some con. I ordered two because I am addicted to the Russian rifles. I'll have to wait and see what I get.

Well deerslayer, you can ogle my '43 Izhevsk.

I've been hoping to work out a deal for a jungle carbine. Now if I could only find someone who has one ;)

How much did they sell for? I have a very nice M38 safe queen that I bought at least 6 years ago for $89.99 online.

Seems to me that they were north of a couple of bills. I bought one a couple of years ago from a guy who thought that he'd use his for deer hunting, then couldn't figure out how to mount a scope on it. It was the quickest 75 bucks that I ever spent.

LGS just got in about 3 dozen or so of them. They looked like warmed over (then refroze) hell. I've never seen one in as bad of shape as these are....and they'er selling for $179:(
