Lohan and Clinton to visit Iraq.

unless something has changed I thought Clinton turned down Ms. Lohans offer and told her she should apply through the USO. :confused:

Many well trained US soldiers have died in Iraq because of combat, sniping, ambushes, car bombs, suicide bombers, and Lohan thinks one trip on a shooting range is going to keep her alive!?!?

I doubt she thinks one trip to the range would make her invincible but I would think that y'all would be thrilled that at least one more person is now learning about guns and how to shoot properly. For all you know she might soon become a huge proponent of gun rights. But of course it's easier to just laugh at the possibility of her death because she's one of those slimy liberal entertainers, right?

She absolutely hated performing live. By that point in her life she sure didn't need the publicity.

Yeah, our troops don't need attractive, friendly celebrities to come over and boost morale, to show them what they're fighting for. Nah, they don't need entertainment, they're just a bunch of mindless drones, killing machines yknow.

I saw this story on Fox the other day and thought it was a little...weird. But then, hey - as someone already mentioned, who knows - maybe we end up with a goofy young actress who's willing to say GOOD things about guns. That'd be a win all the way around.

And as for going to Iraq - lots of entertainers don't bother. Let's not criticize the girl for doing what she can.

I occasionally get frustrated by all the judgement of who's "a good gun person," or who isn't perfect or hardcore enough in their pro-firearms views, or who doesn't CCW ENOUGH (or at all). If we pro-2nd Amendment types want to preserve our rights, we need to make a BIG TENT.

If someone wants to own ONE shotgun and shoot trap once a year, hey - we've gotta encourage that. If someone is interested in learning to CCW and hesitant about carrying everywhere, we need ENCOURAGE and SUPPORT them, not knock them down for occasionally leaving the piece at home when they run to the grocery store.

Winning the right to bear arms battle in our culture is more important to me than ensuring everyone conforms to MY idea of a perfect gun owner.

Smart of her to want to have at least the knowledge of how to fire a gun if she's going over to do shows for our guys. Now, if she showed up sporting a slung carbine or something, that'd be even better :D
 
+1 Abby. Just because somebody is a sport shooter and not a CCW shouldn't put them outside of 2nd Amendment supporters, or vice versa. Anybody who owns a gun, or even somebody who doesn't but supports the bill of rights, should be a welcome addition to the movement to support our right to keep and bear arms.
 
spiff i think she trying to be an "adult film star". hillarys just trying to work the votes as soon as possible. (either that or shes trying to branch out to international real estate fraud)
