Locked up Glock 30

With a live reload the slide wouldn't open or close. It had about 1/4 of an inch to go before it would have closed. Kept trying to open it or close it & finally pushed the rear of the slide against the carpeted floor & it closed. Pistol is cocked & when I try to eject live round slide moves back about 1/4 of an inch but no further. These are reloads which I haven't ever shot & after this I won't. So what can you suggest to fix this problem. Thanks to all.

You didn't specify ammo, but...At a guess, they are oversized by a few thousandths in diameter. Bad.

NEVER force a slide closed. All kinds of bad things can happen.

Problem solved! I put the slide in a padded vice & hit the grip with my hand & it ejected the round. Guess I better check the sizeing to insure that doesn't happen again. Thanks to all!;)

I have a suggestion for the next time. Never try to force the slide closed if you have a live round halfway in the gun. I'd have just started with the opening process. The one time I had a similar problem, though it was a factory round, I just drilled a large hole in a chunk of 2x4 and put the barrel in the hole and pushed until I got the slide open.
