Local radio story, no confirmation but it's too precious not to share:
Three masked men armed with shotguns walk into the Bank of Mason (TN) at lunchtime. The tellers are eating. There are no customers present. They, of course, demand money. The tellers all but ignore them. Why? Because they are all sitting behind two inches of bullet-resistant glass. One of the would-be-robbers walks over to the door of the glass barrier and demands to be let in. Not saying a word the Head Teller gets up, sandwich in hand, and calmly moves to a phone to call the police. One of the masked men is heard to say in disbelief, "She's calling the police?! We'd better leave!" Which they then do. Unfortunately they disappeared into the nearby neighborhood and were not apprehended, but it is still a funny little tale. Luckily no one walked in to be used as a hostage.
