First, this is the Old Otter who lives in the North Georgia Mountains
Wednesday evening, a 41 year old male went to see his ex-wife
(they had been divorced for two weeks) to pick upo his nine year
old son. I understand that she refused to let the son go with the
father, at which point she turned and walked back towards her trailer
with the boy. He then shot both of the individuals in the back, and then
killed himself. Their three year old was inside the trailer and was not
harmed (physically at least).
I consider myself a reasonably sophicated individual, wise in the ways of the world, but I cannot concieve of anybody doing something like this.
My first wife and I did not get along that wel, but I would not have dreamed of hurting her, and I would cut off my own hands before I would
harm my child. What is with some people. Am I that naive about
evil? I guess this goes to show the power of court protection.
