Loading the Remington 1100

I love everything about my new 1100 except for loading the tube. I hate how I have to press that button before I can lift the carrier to get a shell in. Doing so is slow, annoying, and I sometimes even use two hands. Any aftermarket parts which could solve my problem? Also I would prefer to not have the carrier hanging out bellow the receiver.

I have an 1100 and just last weekend was able to shoot it with more than one shell loaded at a time. I only use it for Trap Shooting and just about everywhere I go only allows one shell chambered at a time.

Anyway, I didn't know how to load more than one shell! I put my shell in by hand like I normally do, just kinda layed it in there, then hit the release on the bottom to close the chamber. Then it was a simple matter of using the nose of the next shell to press down on the small lever as I slid it forwards. There is a small catch that you need to get the rear of the shell past which holds it in place.

Practice with it, you'll see how easy it is.

What you do is push the button with the shell as you insert it. After you have done it a few times, it just comes naturally. You can turn the gun upside down to watch at first, but it really isn't hard to do by feel. My reply got beat by 2 minutes! Also, you can load the first shell in the open receiver, and close the receiver by hitting the button with the second shell, which clsoes the action as you load the second shell. Skeet shooters have this down to a science.

1oz hit it right on, open it, insert shell into chamber, close it then slide the other 2 in the mag. If you think that is hard to get used to try a Beretta 400. Im still hitting wrong buttons on that thing.

Just to clarify. I know how to load and can load my 1100. It just find it annoying that the button has to be depressed in order to load a shell. That Dave's EasyLoaser looks nice so I ordered it.

The EZ Loader sticks out the bottom and it is the dickens to keep the slide open in a case because the EZ Loader replaces the button. I have one, but I am trying to load fast during 3gun matches.

Remington also made or makes a lifter that they used on the competition master,,the button on the lifter is double in length and it makes stuffing shells in the tube very easy,,and it doesn't hang out the bottom of the receiver,,i have one on my 1100 and love it

I don't have the part no. from Remington but I may be able to round it up if interested
