Loading for 9mm springfield ro compact?

Well I've been trying to load for my new 1911 ro compact, and haven't really figured out what Works well. 124 grain plated bullets produced terrible accuracy with 5.5 grains of power pistol. I tried 3.5 grains of green dot with a 152 grain rf cast bullet with slightly better accuracy but still not even a 5" group at 25 yards, what can anyone recommend?

And second . . . how does your actual bore size compare to the diameter of the bullets you're using? If you haven't slugged it to see what it measures . . . how are you determining the size of bullet to use?

All I shoot in my 9mm is my own cast. I don't have your particular pistol . . . but I do have a SR9 and a Shield. In both, I've found a 147 ish grain lead cast at .358 works well. I ended up with some coated hard cast .356 to try - 115 grain . . . wasn't pleased at all with the results. I usually use either a cast 120 ish gr. TC or RN . . they are not bad (both at .348). I recently tried a 147 ish gr. cast RN that I have a mold for . . . MUCH better results out of both the SR9 and the Shield. But those are my guns and your handgun may like something better.

And I don't load "hot" or "max" . . . I work up my loads . . . most important thing is that they cycle the slide well first and then fine tune for the best accuracy.

It wasn't very accurate with factory ammo but it was $10 federal aluminum, and I'll be honest I haven't slugged the bore but I went from some cheap berry 124 grn at .356, noticed a large difference with the 150 cast .357, I'm going to slug the bore soon i was just curious if I should and what you guys use for powder?
