still new to rifle reloading/handloading loaded 20 rounds of 6.8spc for my ar-15. loaded up in .5 grain increments from 28.5gr all the way to 30 grains compressed. This was my best group which was 30C gr. anyone know how i may be able to improve on this group? I used 115 gr bthp match bullets, all seated to withing .001 of each other from ogive (according to my callipers). uniformed flash hole and primer pocket.... should i be doing anything else? obviously i cant play with the oal much being its for an AR-15 im kinda stuck at 2.260 max oal. any opinions?

There's so many variables in the works there. Not every barrel likes every bullet, so you could change bullets. It could be the primer that your recipe/rifle doesn't like. Are you weighing each and every load with a quality scale? A lesser expensive electronis scale seems to bedevil some folks here who've discussed scales and such. Are you using a good rest close to the receiver? Good trigger? See where I'm going with all this?

There could be any number of things- or it just could be that is the best your bbl is capable of. There's no guarantee about always getting the best quality barrel out of the litter.

I know I haven't answered your question, and I'm really not trying to be a smart allec. That's not a bad group all in all- but we just don't have a lot to go on yet.
