Anyone have any info on the Llama Max series ? Saw one at the gun show, Officers ACP size-ish, $200. Any good ? Didn't look like a 100% clone of 1911 - but close.

Here is there web site Hope this helps.

I've got the MiniMax that I bought NIB a few months ago for $259... I've only put maybe 500 rounds through it because the shells come directly back and bean me on the forehead every other time (gotta get the ejector adjusted).

No failures of any kind so far, and accuracy for such a cheap pistol is surprising. It even handled 200gr Hornady +P XTPs like a champ.
Though mine is a gem, I understand there are more lemons with Llama than most other manufacturers.

Good luck.

I just bought a new Micromax .380 and went to the gun range and pumped about 150 rounds with NO jams or misfeeds. The gun is surprising accurate too. About on par (maybe not quite) as my Kahr K40 .. Its thin and a great carry gun. Im finding im carrying it more then my other 2 carry guns. Id recomment it..

I have looked at them and wondered "what if?"..I looked into llama a little bit..alot of the older pistols had softer metal in the hard parts and were rumored to shoot loose". From what I understand now..they are a pretty good gun..much better metals are used now. I am thinking of the little 45 10 rounder...shoot well.

Like all firearms companys Llama has its lemons . I have a MAX-1 AND it is very reliable what you need to do is get some quality magazines and polish the feed ramp and have it throated too . :D
It shouldnt give you any problems after that .Also it does come with a lifetime warranty.
