Any Llama shooters on board? I took the X-A out yesterday and ran two boxes through it. I've had this about four years now and the more I shoot it the more I like it.

Mini 1911 with loaded chamber indicator. The extractor is reported to be it's Achilles heel, no problems yet but I do have a pair of spares.

I too have a Min Max .45 Hi Cap. I never had problems with the extractor.
Llama was ahead of the curve in their 1911 copies. Now everyone does it.
Mine looks like pic but has chrome trigger and switches.

The extractor is just like Smith and Wessons extractor. Also SIG's 1911 too.

I have one from the late 70s, early 80s. No issues with it.

I didn't know they made the .32 in a locked breech. I have owned the .380s in both locked breech (and swinging link on barrel) as well as blow-back.

I had a couple of the .22's back in the 70's... really neat little guns but neither of them were reliable. I understand the centerfires on that frame were much better, I'd love to have one that actually worked.

The Llama .32 never came in the locked breech design. Llama's Especial line was, IMO, their best small frame offerings as far as fit, finish and reliability. Llama also did it right with their large frame Max series but it was their last gasp before permanent shut down.

The small frame Llamas prefer the European ammo the best for reliability. I use S&B and Fiocchi in my .32ACP and .380ACP lines with great success. Also, someone mentioned the Llama .22 as being unreliable but if you use CCI MiniMags in them and keep them well oiled and clean you can have great success with them as well. I have 10-10 round mags preloaded for a range session and unless I have a bad round I usually go 100 for 100 without a failure. They are really cool mini 1911s and are my favorite .22LR to shoot. No, it is not as accurate as a 6" model but for a 3" barrel it does just fine. The .22LRs have become quite popular the last few years and usually command $300-$350+ on the online auctions.

If you are a 1911 lover then you should find a nice Llama .22 and add it to your collection. The locked breech .380ACPs are also quite nice. They are true mini-copies of the 1911 that the Mustang and now Sig offering are commanding top dollar for. These can be found in really nice condition for about the same price as the .22s. They weigh a little more than the Sigs but the extra weight and locked breech soaks up the recoil making them great pistols if you use the hotter ammo.

I've been wanting to find a .380 to go with the .32. This is the only Llama I own and think it's a very well made piece.

I haven't been able to nail the build date, somewhere around 1960ish I think.
