Little Practice With The Carry Gun.

I put 50 .357 Magnum rounds (Hornady Critical Defense) through my everyday carry gun today. Target was at 12 yards and all shots were double action. I have a safe full of handguns, but this is my go to favorite.

I have a model 60 thats very similar. I am wondering did you shoot 50 rounds with the grips in the pic? Also I have never shot the Critical defense 357 rounds. I am wondering how they are recoil wise.

This one is a model 649. I did shoot all rounds with those grips (Hogue XTreme). They are excellent grips. The recoil seemed about the same as any other 125 gr. .357, no better, no worse.

The grips are no doubt nice looking. I was just wondering. The only 357's I have ever fired were 158 LSWC. Wondering if the 125's are as stout

Probably less recoil with the lighter 125 gr. loads, but big muzzle blast.

its cool enough now that you swap out your J frame for a larger K or L frame in the same caliber.....
