Attended the most pleasant gun show this weekend. Most gun shows are large crowded affairs but this one was a small, pleasant, friendly affair at the Cleveland Civic Center in Texas. Good conversation with sellers, an NRA representative, and a lady with a 92-year old veteran at the VFW table.
Prices were generally fair except for over-priced .22 ammunition. Bought a rifle that I have wanted since the 1960's: Remington Nylon 66 semi-automatic with 4X32 scope. It is near pristine meaning the stock is without scratches, bluing intact, bright bore, and proper function. Even an unfaded white dot on the front sight. I paid the same 1960 new price, $49.95, adjusted for inflation. It is a bit more than Gunbroker prices, but considering the great condition, without FFL and shipping fees, it is a good buy.
