Slide to frame fit (tightness) accounts for a very small part of a semi-auto's accuracy. Barrel to slide fit (if you're using the sights and NOT a frame-mounted optical system) is far more important.
Until you shoot the gun from a rest to see how well it hits, you may be worrying about something that isn't a concern.
I've had two DP-51s (basically the same gun), and the .40 version of the DP-51, called the DH-40. The first DP-51 was an absolute tack-driver, the second was good, and the DH-40 was OK, but nothing to brag about -- but that may have been more ME than the gun (back then, I didn't shoot .40s as well as I did later.)
