how much is this worth per pound? i live just south of kansas city on the kansas side if that matters....i have about 300 pounds of linotype and just wondering what its worth.

Not all metal used in the printing industry was "Linotype". Unless you know for sure, it could be monotype, electrotype, etc. and some may have added "rules", melted into it.

When the lead type metal based printing industry stopped using lead-based alloys they usually sold it as scrap. And, most people will refer to it as "Linotype", whether it is or not.

I've followed some auctions on eBay and Linotype lead (leads and slugs) is closing for around $1.50/pound in small quantities (so they will fit in the flat rate Priority Mail boxes).
