What a differance night/day with this! now the CHEAP LIGHT SAVAGE EDGE .308 dose not bother my shoulder anymore! now its like my .223 wow!:D

When I fired my brand new pride-and-joy lucky-to-have-been-able-to-spend-money-on Mossberg 930 SPX, it kicked my @$$ !!! i mean recoiled me to hurt and honestly say, this isn't fun ... i am shooting for fun, this ain't it. And I wouldn't be able to deploy this weapon, shoot after a shot I'd be thinking about recovering and not engagiung bad guys in the home/battlefield!

what A DIFFERENCE My LimbSaver made! And I couldn't figure out how to install it , the "pattern" they include as Directions?! were useless. So I did what any man would do, i superglued it to the stock.

Even the gunsmith was like, LOL This awesome- we beat on it 4 hard times with a rubber mallet, it didnt budge. he said it was much more secure than he could have done screwing it in. But obviously that makes it permanent.

I've got either Limbsavers or Pachmyr Decelerators on just about everything. A good pad sure tames recoil and turns a nice gun into a great one.

My R3 pad was stuck to the safe's floor...!!!

...seriously.

I went to remove my Remington 700 .375 RUM that is in a 1989 Arylon Synthetic stock that I had an R3 pad installed on, and it was all sticky and stuff and stuck to the rug material in the safe.

I peeled it off slowly, and took a good look at it.
It was intact but just 'sticky'.

My guess is the heat from the dehumidifier somehow interacted with the material in the pad and made it gooey.

What do you think happened here?

(BTW: I shot the .375 RUM today. WOW. Wicked! :D and the pad worked fine. Still a bit sticky, but it did its job. )

I can attest to the Limbsaver pad doing a great job of reducing felt recoil on a Tikka T3 Lite in .270WIN.
Worked as advertised.

Busgunner , Remington had a bunch of those melting R-3 pads , they will replace it if you contact them . I think those pads are made by Sims Labs , the co. that makes Limb Saver pads !

I'll contact Remington.

Interesting that some of the SVL / LimbSaver / R3 pads 'self-melted'.
That was good information; thanks.

I was trying to remember the name of Sims Vibration Laboratory.

I'm hoping it won't be a problem with Remington to change out the pad that was installed on an older stock
OR
SVL will warranty the pad and send me a new one so I can have my gunsmith do the R&R.

Here's some links to 'melting' pads:

That last link had a comment about a new employee undercooking the mixture...pads were replaced by SVL and the employee had to get a new job. :D
Thanks for the heads-up. :)

I put a limbsaver pad on my .300 Win Mag Ruger 77 Mk II all-weather and it's amazing. BTW, what "time frame" did those of you with the melting (bad rubber or whatever) pads buy yours? In the last year?

I put a limb saved on my 45/70 brush gun with a 16.5 inch barrel. I Was thinking about having the barrel ported until I tried this. I am glad I did not port the barrels cause it is all ready loud.

Kik-Eez pads are better than Limbsaver , I only install Limbsavers by request ! Kik-Eez offers more styles and sizes than Limbsaver , Pachmyer is my second choice , for the same reasons !
