Lighten my Ar 15

I have an inexpensive post ban Olympic ar with 16" barrel and muzzle break.It is an A2 configuration.what can I do to lighten the gun at modest expense.

I'd suspect that unless you have the thin profile barrel, that would be where the most significant weight savings might come from. You could also go for a shorter barrel with the muzzle brake pinned on, making the total length 16". I'd also look into the fixed "collapsible" stocks, they're a bit lighter than the standard stock. Of course, there's always the option of a whole new gun...
