I had been reading all the bad press on the American made PPKS on these forums. I was really worried about all the things I read, debating selling the gun without shooting it.
Today, I took out my Walther along with 4 other handguns and a AK47 and shoot up some ammo with my buddies.
I put 100 rounds of .380 through the PPKS, 50 Magtech and 50 Winchester. Both FMJ.
In 100 rounds, I had 3 jams. ALl 3 jams were user error (limp wristing.) The gun was highly accurate. All 3 of us were routinely hitting anything we aimed at. The gun definately exceeded my expectation.
I am a large guy with huge hands. I had 0 bites from the blowback slide on the gun.
I think I was a little paranoid from the reactions I saw on this forum. I think this taught me to check it out formyself. I now will try and ignore all the criticism, or hype, of any certain gun until I see it for myself.
The Walther turned out to be a fantastic gun. Accurate and Reliable. I will definately habe no problems carrying that thing for CCW.
