A Bersa was the first gun that I ever owned and it was the worst gun that I have ever own (I had at least one jam per magazine). That was about twenty years ago so their quality might have improved since them. Just my $0.02 worth.

More likely, lifetime warranty means lifetime of "the company"...until they change ownership or go bankrupt after a liability lawsuit flood.

Mamor, Don't know about the lifetime warranty but I have a Bersa 383A .380. Bought it used and have had no problems what so ever.I use for a carry piece. For what I paid for it I couldn't go wrong. I believe they had problems in the past but have overcome them.
Good luck with your purchase and
Happy Shooting :)

I picked up the Bersa Thunderbolt 380 today and I like it.It is duotone and feels good. The warranty does say "Lifetime Service Contract." It also says that after the regular 1 year warranty, and for as long as the Bersa firarm is owned by the original purchaser,Bersa S.A. Offers to service and repair any defects or malfunctions in the firearm excluding the finish, grips, sights or magazine without charge. That aint bad!Well I will shoot it tomorrow and report back to you all how it runs.I have 2 friends that have the same model but in the nickel and they havent had a problem.I will let you know.

The Bersa Thunder and Thunderlite .380's seem to be really decent guns for the price. I have put a few hundred rounds out of a friends gun over the years, and have never had one problem. Yes, they have a lifetime service contract. But this is no big deal, many handgun manufactures now offer a lifetime policy including Bersa, Llama, and Taurus just to name a few. But the Taurus policy is the best. They will fix the gun for IT'S lifetime. Everyone else seems to fix guns for life of the original owner.(requiring a card to be sent in upon purchase) The Taurus warranty is still good even if you buy it used. Hope this helps...

I went to the range today with my Bersa Thunder 380.I shot 50 rounds without any problems and it shot good at 15 yards.I didnt have time to try any longer distances because my dad and brother liked shooting it also.I should have took more bullets!Good shooting gun!
