life time N.R.A. membership renewal?

Got a notice today from the N.R.A. saying that my membership expires in October of 06 but I’ve been a lifetime member for two years and all my payments are caught up. I paid 125 bucks (or someware around their) so far. I want to know if their, is anyone else this has happened to.
 
The current life membership due is $750, $375 for seniors. The $125 you've paid seems quite short of the goal.

Are you paying in installments? (This is what I did. The plan I was in was $50/quarter up to, back then, $500. I actually paid $50/month until I reached life membership.)
 
no it says on the website that you can go to to check up on your account says im a life member. and im doing the payments i was under 18 when i joined so its only $550 but why did they send me this and not the bill for my next payment?
 
Hm. Don't know. Try calling them up or e-mailing them.

I do recall now that when I had finished up my payments (paid off early), they were not entirely up to date and noted that I was at $450. I did mail in copies of all of my cancelled checks which totalled $500 and that cleared it up.
 
gunslinger, I had the same problem around 10 years back when I was making payments on my life membership. Must be an issue with how they do their record keeping or something, the notifications keep coming. You might want to give them a call, I did and they were good to work with.
