All:

If you think the economy is the worst thing about living in Michigan, have I got some bad news for you.

This guy got a death sentence for eluding the police in Michigan.

This poor bastard is facing a life sentence in Michigan based on the testimony of two preschoolers versus adults who say the crime couldn’t have happened where it allegedly did:

I swear I’m not making any of this up; you now face LIFE IN PRISON in Michigan for fooling around on your wife:

The incredible irony/hypocrisy here is that Mike Cox, Michigan Attorney General, is a self-admitted philanderer whom the voters just returned to office this November.

I’ve got to get out of here before I jaywalk again.

Unless you're calling child mollestation "adultery", then I guess I missed the point of your links. You posted the same link twice, about the guy dying of cancer...same guy who was eluding the police. The police didn't give that eluding fool cancer.

The other link was about a guy found guilty of mollesting four-and-five-year-old kids.

Weird. 4 to 5 may be a death sentence to a cancer patient, but what are you advocating?

If you have a fatal disease you should not be locked up for your crimes?

As for the other case... I'm sure "free Mr.J".com offers a totally unbiased view of the situation (sarcasm).

Your third link is the same as the first one. I don't know what "kows" are, but you should smoke fewer of them, Kowboy.

Sorry, I fixed the last link. Please try again.

I think Al Quida and the Taliban have won in Michigan. This is their style of justice.

I'm all for locking up child molesters, but not on the testimony of persons capable of being coached and unable to tell truth from fiction as is the case here, with 4 and 5 year olds.
Since this guys conviction, adults have come forward stating the room where the crime allegedly happened was occupied all day long.

I tried to get the Detroit Free Press story but was unsuccessful. The link has the jist of it.

The judge is considering a new trial and I hope she separates us from Afganistan and Sharia law.

But hey, Bush is President. Who needs the Constitution and the rule of law when we have public opinion?

The first description is misleading: Nobody got a life sentence for eluding the police. He got a reasonable sentence but ended up getting misdiagnosed by a prison doctor. Perhaps he would have gotten better treatment outside, but that's only a perhaps. Either way it has nothing to do with Michigan's laws or policies.

The second is one side of a story. A man was convicted of abusing 4 & 5 year old boys. He and others claim he's innocent. The jury felt otherwise. Even if he's really innocent, that has nothing to do with Michigan's laws or policies--that sort of thing can happen anywhere. At worst, it's indicative of the fallibility of human justice, not evidence of any sort of oppression.

The description of the third is once again misleading. Even the article you linked to indicates that this was not an intentional consequence of the new law, but rather an unforeseen result. The law in question was not INTENDED to make adultery a life-sentence offense, it was merely an accident that it does so. Furthermore, unless MI DAs suddenly decide to begin prosecuting adultery cases after not doing so for more than 35 years, this is not likely to be a practical issue and it sounds VERY likely that the problem will be remedied in the next legislative session.
I think Al Quida and the Taliban have won in Michigan. This is their style of justice.
Histrionics. Nothing like this conclusion is justified by anything you posted here.

Somehow, I don't think 3 separate stories can make one valid thread. Pick a single topic and run with it, Kowboy.
