I just dont see how this, as ive been informed, our "stellar successes", will restore our rights, anybody care to take a shot at reality, and dont try and twist it, just explain how this supporting cast will help us? Also there is a short 3 or 4 line entry on the lp board that states ya'll are only on the ballot in 28 states,(not insignificant, but hardly enuf), and there is joy expressed that the reform party is having ballet problems and have dropped to only 20 states....fubsy.

Fubsy,
Yep, not very much is it? Then again, it will be a lot more in the coming election when people of honor refuse to vote for gun control.

RNC,
Hide and watch, sucker!

Dennis,
come on, hide and watch from what?...ra ra ra sis boom ba, were the party of principle we help elect democrats.....In time perhaps, maybe that party can be built to be effective, I also copied the results from year to year in the various elections and there is minor growth, no were near enuf to succeed, according to your own partys site you dont have at anyone at a national level, heck your not even on the ballot in all 50 states, the lp site claims 28 for them selves. Claims of principle are hot air until your feet are to the fire, its just a lot of talk right now, and that might be were it has to start. Dont try and sell people a "clintonesque" bill of good's. That comment isnt intended to attack you, but isnt that the very type of behavoir that we dont like?, the promise em what they want to hear, knowing "it" wont succeed.

Keith,
It looks like in every election held that americans cant see the great and wonderful things the libertarians offer----wow, maybe there's somethings they dont like about your party. And those things perhaps are enuf combined with your partys inability to show any positive results at a national level to stop them from wanting to risk it all on a will of the wisp promise.
The partys in power have abused that trust and those american citizens you need arent going to be willing to change for more promise's or just trust blindly, Ya'll think maybe your handicapping yourself in some manner? If you cant win those hearts and minds of the, what were ya'll calling em a while back, SHEEPLE, you know your fellow citizens who are not as enlightend as ya'll, dont necessarily agree with you, you'll never get on the national scene,
Heck at this point by yourselves your not even a spoiler party at the national level--combined with the reform party then and only then do ya'll become a spoiler for the major parties at the national level.

bookie,
I understand the need to grow that party but they are not at a point were a vote for them at a national level does anything but help the democrats, especially when combined with the reform party. Ive said it since I first entered into this "discussion", grow that party and become a force to be reckoned with. Dont think that at this point in a national election, escpecially were you dont have but 28 states whose ballots your on you will be effective, and sell it as a realistic alternative to the major parties, ya'll avoid addressing how it will be done, cause there is no way it can be done without support from the congress or a decision by the supreme ct., like it or not that is how the "founders" (feel like im on deep space-9), set it up to operate. Ya'll know who they are, yall quote em and seem to ignore the fact that the very constitution/bill or rights we are trying to restore was a compromise solution for them. by all means nurture that oak for it falls from the tree of liberty, itself once nurtured, grew strong and now finds itself diseased and failing after the ravages of time and ignorant caretakers, like everything that needs nurturing there is a time when it can stand on its own, and eventually take the place of what came before it. ...fubsy.

Wow man! Eloquent words. If you keep this up we'll have you in the library section right next to Dennis and his Metal and Wood. :)

Fubsy,
I look at those low numbers you provided for us and feel shame. I am ashamed that I
voted for the people who gave, give, and will give us more gun control.

Personally, I believe *all* advocates of our Right to Keep and Bear Arms should feel
ashamed of those low numbers. It shows we have believed the lie that there is a difference between the Republicans and Democrats on the issue of gun control.

There is no difference, fubsy. Not really. Their goals are the same - it's just that the
Republicans are sneakier than the Democrats and slip it to us slowly.

The Democrats scream for gun control "for the children", etc.
The Republicans "compromise" on gun control "for the children", etc.

They’re just playing “Good Cop, Bad Cop” and people foolishly think the “Good Cop” is
their buddy. It isn’t true. It’s a lie.

The Republicans have become the "Me too" party to the Democrats.

Sure, there are a few good Republicans left - some who insultingly will be called religious fanatics of the Far Right (eg Alan Keyes), and a couple Libertarians posing as Republicans (e.g. Ron Paul). I respect them for honoring the American values most of the Republicans have abandoned.

And you are right in one point, at least. Working together, the two major parties have the elections sewn up so long as we blindly follow them.

But no more blindness for me. While you choose to vote for gun controllers, I will vote against them. Surely, even though you refuse to admit it, voting *against* gun control is an argument you must understand . Isn’t it?

Dennis, I will second that! ;)

fubsy,

Ok, now please answer MY question, that I posted in the "Republicans vs Libertaians" thread, please. You seem to be up at bat, here, for the Republicans, so Im politely asking you. The dude known as fubsy.
You da man, here!

Im getting hoarse from asking all the Republicans my question...and deaf from the silence of their answers. Rush couldnt even answer it.....

Please tell me.
