From memory, we did not shoot a lot in LFI-1. Maybe 400 rounds. You do his qualifier a lot, practice different holds, shoot from different positions, including prone, supine, and over head supine, shot a little at 100 yards. Call it a "sampler."
Lots of excellent lecture and discussion. In fact, this 40 hour class covered more on the law of self-defense than 3 years of law school and the bar exam (self-defense was one day lecture in torts, half-day in Crim Law, not covered at all in Crim Procedure I or II, and one day lecture in Adv. Crim Law I & II, covered in bar review but not asked on Indiana's bar exam '95).
The skill learned? How to stay out of trouble in Problem #1 or Problem #2. How difficult? It depends, how much training on shooting, fighting and lawyering you have. Can always learn more.
Class is well worth your money, highly recommended.
