Lexol leather cond. reviews / comparison

I've been trying out my new bottle of Lexol, and it seems to work fairly well for moistening the leather, especially old dry leather, with no greasy residue at all.

Now I'm starting to miss the oily feeling of mink oil.... and I've been reading about using peanut oil.

I just got a couple of somewhat vintage S&W holsters, but with new condition leather with no drying or cracks, and I'm wondering whats going to be best to use on them.

Any suggestions appreciated.

What does the manufacturer suggest? Many holster makers strongly recommend against the use of any product that will soften leather.
