Organizing my safe the other night I came across this S&W 9mm pistol, forgot I had it. This is new in the box, has not seen daylight for many years. This is two tone black slide, dull stainless frame. 3 1/2 barrel. Serial number begins with TES and the special order # is 0022. I've been all over the web trying to figure out how many were built and, a ball park value. Many knowledgeable folks here that could help me. Thanks in advance.

Year 1990
Catalog #103048
Model 5906 frame with Model 3914 slide; traditional double action (TDA), which I believe means in today's acronyms, DA/SA.
Special for Lew Horton company.
Estimated value in 2006 was $700. From an online source this would equate to $826.50 with a cumulative inflation rate of 18.1%.

This is mainly from Supica & Nahas' book, the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 2006.

That sure looks like a beautiful gun, but I'd want to carry it, shoot it, and scratch it up:)

Thank you for the reply, I kept looking for a Lew Horton 5967....my google fu is weak. I guess I should strap it on, no good as a safe Queen.
