Lever action - Are FMJ rounds safe?

In a lever action rifle, is it safe to shoot FMJ rounds? The ammo I am looking at is reloaded Justice ammo in .44 mag with a flat top.

Thanks.

A FMJ .flat nose is fine in a tubular magazine. Pointed styles be they FMT or lead are not! Its not the action type but the magazine type that governs this. A sharp nose bullet in a tube magazine will hit the primer in front of it in a tube mag and possibly set it off

To expound further on Southla1, the recoil of the gun causes the cartridges to slam around, compressing the magazine spring. When the slam back against the bullet guide, a spire point bullet will naturally strike the primer of the cartridge ahead of it and if it does with sufficient force, you'll have ignition.
