Lever Action .44Mag

I want a lever action .44 magnum to go with my Desert Eagle .44 and S&W 629.

The two front runners are:
* Marlin 1894 Cowboy
* Winchester Model 94 Legacy

Both look great, but, it never hurts to get more opinions.

Marlin just came out with a 1894P a ported .44mag similar to the 45-70 guide. It has definitely caught my attention.

For strength, durability and the capability of easy scoping go with the MARLIN! IF you get a chance compare the Winchester and Marlin SIDE BY SIDE and you will see and feel the DIFFERENCE in quality. Also, the Marlin has a stronger action, but it can still be loosened by heavy loads with 300 gr bullets!

Yes I own a Marlin!

BTW, Marlin has started using the BALLARD rifling again as the MICROGROOVE was irritating some shooters looking for accuracy with lead bullets. I have the MICROGROOVE and reload nonMax loads and have no problems with accuracy!

Good luck!

I have a Marlin 1894S in .44. I'm happy with it. I don't shoot it much, but when I do, it works fine.

I shot my cousins marlin .44 lever and fell in love with it. Think I might invest in one in the near future.
