Lever Action 12g

Does anyone know of any current production lever action 12g shotguns? I feel like they would be more popular than they are.

Chiappa makes one. Seems like a novelty to me - if you don't want an auto, what advantage would they have over a pump?

I don't own one but I think they are pretty slick. I have one on my wanted gun list but it is still a long ways down the list. Lever actions are very fun guns.

Chiappa makes a number of them, they generally have a shorter LOP than a lot of tac shotguns - including the Mossberg SPX.

The SPX has a 18.5" barrel and 39.5 OAL, the Chiappa has a model that has a 22" barrel and 39" OAL

They also make a 5-shot pistol grip only 1887 T-series with an 18.5" barrel, 28.6" OAL... it's pretty darn close to a Serbu

I'm not sure how you work a lever action when you don't have a stock pressed up against your shoulder... I would think that if you were just holding the forestock with your left hand, the gun would point to the sky when you worked that lever... I'll have to review old reruns of "The Rifleman" I'm sure Chuck Connors demonstrates the technique somewhere...

If that system works, I can really see that as a big hit with liquor store, gas station owners...

Apparantly no one ever programed the T-800 terminator with the 4 rules of safe firearm handling. He puts a loaded shotgun to the head of John Connors

While his finger is on the trigger !!!

Actually it looks like the muzzle past JUUUST slightly to the side of his head. Though I'm sure the muzzle blast alone would be enough to kill you point blank.

Anyway there's methods for cocking it single handed. None practical, but then a sawed-off, pistol-grip lever-action is not a practical shotgun to begin with.
