anybody use these yet?

i picked up a pair of 8x30 at academy on sale for $80(on sale).

i didn't notice they were made in china till i got them home.

are they worth keeping, or should i return them?

Don't have Yosemites, but I do have the Leupold Wind River Mesa binocs.

Prior to that, I've had 10x42 Bushnells or smaller 10x28 Simmons and similar small form factor binocs.

Yeah, they're not made in the US and are not the gold ring quality. But they're a solid cut above anything I've owned before and have been VERY useful since I've bought them. Clear, crisp picture. Lots of light.

Kick the heck out of my old Bushnells.

Never had them, but like the name. I know that does not mean they are good. I would say you need to be the judge, and decide how they look, and work for you. I do have big pair or Pentax I really like.

The Yosemites, particularly the 6x30 model is one of the best values out there. Great depth of field, pretty clear considering the price; the short inter-pupil distance is great for those with narrow set eyes or youth.
