I have one Leupold, and just bought a 2nd after several years, a XV-Freedom rimfire. Every scope I have ever purchased, including my other leupold came with some sort of lens covers whether they were slip on plastic, flip up, plastic with bungees, or rubber bikini. Still a great scope but I'm not happy I have to go find a set of lens covers for the thing.

It’s been that way for a while now. I bought a couple of VX-3’s and didn’t get any.

The last Leupold's I bought came with those urethane covers that cover the entire scope at once...and I appreciated them. I always toss the plastic lens covers into a pile and buy these full-length covers anyway.

I haven't bought a Leupold and not gotten lens covers. But, I've never purchased a Rifleman or Freedom, either.
Being the budget models, they might be skimping.
