Leupold Mounts

I have a Leupold 3.5x10x40 on my Rem. 700 Pss. I want to put a Leupold 4.5x15x50 on the gun and use the same Leupold dual dove tail bases. The Leupold fit chart say's no mount systms are available for the Varmint barrel. Does any one know if using Leupold high rings and standard size bases will work on a Rem. pss or varmint barrel? Thanks Jeff
 
I used to use a one piece base with medium rings on my PSS. It fit without any concerns.
Knowing what I know now, I would have started off with a solid one piece mount, ala IBA or Badger Ord.
I have seen the Leupold mounts top out at 500 yards with the PSS.
