Leupold mark 4 M2 questions.

I'm in the process of ordering my SPR and scope. I had settled on the M3 found one with a good price. And now i'm thinking i might want M2 knobs. I know the M2 knobs are 1/2 MOA both windage and elevation. But i read that the M2 knobs only have one revolution turn in them, like the M3. Which would technically give them a zero stop. I've also read by other people that the M2 and M3 knobs have ball bearings in the knob functioning as a zero stop. If that is indeed true, i'll be going with the M2, but thing is i can't find a black matte M2:confused: did they just decide they're going to do it in FDE?

Bump.

Ordered my BCM MK12 Mod 1 Upper tonight (KAC/RAS) doesn't have the Ops. Inc. 12th model yet though. Anyway Got my USO and a nikon 6-18x40mm. Put them both on 8x and 10x and looked at a golf ball washer 508 yards away. I felt i could hit small enough targets with 8x. I emailed leupold to see if they could manufacture a MK4 M2 3.5-10x40mm in Matte Black. Don't know when i'll get a response. But i've also been looking at the MK4 MR/T M2 2.5-8x36mm. Which would you pick? Assuming that leupold can make me a black M2 3.5-10x40mm. I've hit a decently small target with a 4x optic @ 306 yards so i feel that i could hit small targets at 500-600m with a 8x.

Pros for the 8x:
Lighter (17oz)
Lower cost
Matte Black

Cons:
36mm objective

Pros for 10x:
2x more magnification
40mm objective

Cons:
heavier (21oz)
so far only in FDE
would have to pay retail for a Black Matte assuming Leupy would build one.
