How many MOA does the leupold Long range 1 piece bases add? The website says something about "1/4 degree" whatever that means.
I doubt they're as much as the badgers are at 20 MOA but maybe 10-15?

Thanks

Just curious, which Leupold base were you asking ?

I thought Leupold didn't carry any tapered bases in their standard line.

The Mark IV bases are not canted because the Mark IV M3 scopes have their cant built into the scope.

Please clarify. Thanks

LOOPIE BASE......NOT!!!!!

eee, stick with the Badger............
the Loopie, is junk for a tac style rifle........
It costs about $20.00 bucks,,,,,,,
So, you know.what you are getting.....
Can't believe they haven't gotten into these for tac use...
the MK4's....have so much ele, and windage, they don't (usually)need the taper bases.

If your not using a Mark IV scope and need a little extra elevation, why not use a leupold? The make quality scopes. I've used their 2 piece bases before with excellent results. Why would their slanted 1 piece base be of poor quality? Ya, they're not $120, but they have to be better than holding high.

I'm just curious about the options in getting the extra elevation without shelling out the extra dough.

RE: Why??

eee, why, no particular reason..except if you want to make sure your scope mount and base will NOT move.
If you are just plinkin'...go fer it..for a serious accuracy rig..I just do not advise it.
Kinda like buying inexpensive scopes........several times.
Just an opinion..........mine....fwiworth

EEshooter: Murphy's law. Those rear windage screws will come loose at the time you need your shot to be right on....and you won't know it until you miss. I've had them. They're fine for bench or once a year deer hunting. Now I have Badgers....because I wanted the best.
